As much as this has been a successful year for SPS, we are sensitive to the fact that our customers and colleagues are currently experiencing some of the worst storms to hit the UK in recent times. We have brought in more staff to cope with the increased calls, to lend support and co-ordinate repairs, sandbags and electrical testing on affected homes.
As we near the end of 2015, we look back on what has been one heck of a year. With exciting new ventures, allowing us to continue to grow and improve, we’ve had a very interesting 12 months.
Above all, it’s been a great year for customer service, with our Contact centre response teams, our local teams in London, Leicester, Warrington and Glasgow, going above and beyond and exceeding customer expectations, . For that, we cannot thank the teams and their Managers enough for their hard work and dedication…

It is these efforts that have helped us to build and maintain strong relationships with both new and long-term customers. Just recently we received some great feedback from a 6000 tenant strong Housing Association in Manchester praising us for the service we have provided for them and noted the ways in which it has improved the efficiency of their own business. As always, we are happy to be of service and delighted that our clients are benefiting from the work that we do for them.
While we’ve had a successful year in terms of customer service, we are always looking to build on this and this year we introduced a brand new product to allow us to do so.

In bringing new developments to the service we provide, we hope to always exceed expectations and that is why we teamed up with StaySafe to develop the SPS StaySafe app, to improve our provision of lone worker protection.
The app, which launched in September of this year, is the perfect solution to monitoring lone worker movement, providing protection through a responsive service, managed and supported by our 24/7 Response Centre. In partnering with StaySafe on this new venture, we have combined our own processes with their impressive technology, to increase the reliability of our service.
The app has been a great success for our customers and for us so far, which we hope will only continue in the New Year as more people adapt to the new technology.
Earlier in the year, we began working with the DIY SOS team on a project in Manchester, which was the largest project they had ever undertaken. This project was featured in the BBC programme, DIY SOS: Home for Veterans, in October and we were proud to play a part in the renovation of an entire street of disused Victorian terraced houses, which would later become homes for ex-servicemen, injured in service.
In what was a very moving project, we were involved in securing the buildings during filming and were delighted to be of service and grateful for the opportunity.

As always, we are proud to offer our support in various circumstances and were delighted to attend the North Ayrshire Achieves Awards Dinner, as a sponsor, in November of this year. The awards, held by North Ayrshire Council recognises employees who had gone above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. It was a fantastic night of celebration and entertainment and it was great to be a part of this.
But we’re not the only ones who have had a successful year, as we are delighted to say some of our very own clients have also been recognised for their efforts in 2015. To name just a couple, both Adactus Housing Group and Yorkshire Housing have picked up awards this year and we wish them and all of our clients continued success for 2016.
We’ve certainly had a great year and we’re looking forward to some exciting developments coming in the next few months.
For now, we’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
