Last week, we attended the launch of a new scheme run by North Yorkshire County Council, which we are very proud to be a part of. The Safe Places scheme ensures the safety of North Yorkshire residents at all times and we are delighted to be providing dedicated helpdesk services to the scheme.

Our Managing Director, Shirley Duffus and our Regional Account Manager, Phil Cook attended the event and overall, it was a fantastic day. Our involvement in the scheme also includes registering members and Safe Places and it was great to see so many people already interested in signing up.
“We are delighted that the launch of North Yorkshire County Council Safe Places was such a success, it was fantastic to meet with many of the schemes advocates who have already signed up to become a Safe Place for the local residents. We were thrilled with the amount of enquires from organisations wanting to be part of the scheme and look forward to introducing more local organisations as the enquires keep coming in to our dedicated line, one of my personal highlights was listening to the people in the community who are living with a form of disability and witnessing how excited and relieved they are that this scheme is now in place, we often take for granted simple tasks such as ‘going to the shops in town’ because for most of these residents without this support network in place that is not so simple and can be very distressing. I would like to thank all the organisers involved on behalf of SPS for choosing us to be an integral part of the scheme, I feel very privileged to be the account manager for such a great service which I hope to see flourish around the UK in the near future” – Phil Cook (Regional Account Manager)
