This week SPS has been busy assisting Police up and down the country by providing our specialist security solutions. Following any serious incidents, SPS are usually called in to assist by securing properties to allow the Police to carry out investigations privately and efficiently, ensuring that the crime scene stays clear from unauthorised access.
In some situations, we may even receive a call from some of our council customers to come out and secure any areas where an incident has occurred. The quicker the response, the quicker the Police can begin essential work to gather evidence, all of which helps to bring criminals to justice sooner rather than later.
No matter where these incidents occur, it is vitally important to be responsive to the situation as well as sensitive to it. Often we are asked to secure murder or trauma scenes, and SPS are stationed nationwide to quickly respond in a professional and timely manner.

Since then there has been arrests made in connection with this crime, as reported here. This quick turnaround displays just how essential it is for the scene to be ready for investigation, something we always bear in mind when called out to assist with specialist security work.
At the other side of the country in Ardrossan, we were also recently called out to secure a property following a police incident. Again due to the nature of the incident, the Police required a steel security solution, one which SPS were more than happy to fulfill. We responded quickly and immediately got to work on securing the property, giving the Police the proper access they needed to carry out their investigation.
