SPS were contacted recently by a local authority in the Yorkshire area, over their requirements for a lone worker solution for multiple departments.

After listening carefully to their requirements and performing a detailed risk assessment, SPS proposed a tailored solution whereby different solutions were to be used by different departments.

Although each department had a definite lone worker requirement, there were significant differences in the lone working environments, in the nature and level of risk exposure, and the likely usage of the service.

Our experience enabled us to recognise that different services for each department would be the most cost-effective solution, and SPS are able to offer a range of flexible lone worker solutions to cope with every requirement.

So successful and cost-effective has this tailored approach been that the authority’s Health & Safety director has now expanded the service to include other departments and units – a clear endorsement of our flexible approach and range of services.
