As we approach the festive season, we find ourselves celebrating a different day or event every other week. This all begins later this week, with Guy Fawkes celebrations taking place across the UK.
Whether you’re attending an organized display or having your own party, this night is one of enjoyment for all the family and there are endless safety measures we are told to consider when watching displays. What you may not have considered is the safety measures you should take, in terms of preventing damage to your property.
According to Aviva’s 2015 Claims Calendar, Bonfire Night is the day of the year you are more likely to be burgled, with fire claims also increasing a significant amount. While this is particularly detrimental to occupied buildings, there is also potential for damage to vacant properties.
Fireworks can cause a considerable amount of damage to your property, when not handled properly or left unattended. Vacant properties are particularly appealing to intruders and vandals and unfortunately at this time of year, fireworks may often end up in the hands of the likes of these people, who do not know how to handle them.
To prevent intrusion and damage of your property, you may consider some of our vacant property services, such as alarm system, steel doors and screens and other barricades.
Steel screens with patented fixings, as well as steel doors, keyed or keyless, will prevent access to unwanted persons. The fixing methods are varied and secure, and will not cause any damage to your property.
Our hi-tech alarms will detect those getting close to a property and report into our accredited ARC. Any unwanted party goers will be picked up by the cameras and our response deployed – we caught 4 people in one property last month. The client was delighted – and all before they could cause damage to the property.
Use SPS this time of year, to check your vacant properties, because those criminals and vandals know you can’t be at all of your properties at once, but we can.
SPS products and services are available on a range of flexible hire and purchase options, so why not contact us to discuss how we can help, on 08457 62 65 42, sales@spsdoorguard.com, or via our Contact Us page on the menu bar. We look forward to hearing from you.
